WHO WE ARE
Sanro Trading (Private) Limited (STPL) is a limited liability company incorporated under the Companies Act No. 17 of 1982 bearing the Company Registration Number N (PVS) 21845 on 17 August 1998. Subsequently, the Company was re-registered under the new Companies Act No. 7 of 2007 on 08 October 2008. The new Registration Number is PV 7852. Our history runs more than 20 years and during this period we have comfortably been able to supply goods to many government and private institutions and win their confidence for quality supplies and our better customer relationship management abilities. Through the real-life business experience gained by us over the years and an open eye on the current markets, regulatory and other requirements and compliances, we have been able to gain better results always.
Plantation Estate Management
The commodity mainly grown in the estate is cardamom ( Malabar & Mysore ). Commodities are also collected and brought from outside for processing. Apart from our own plantation, our group does contract management for two other plantations.
Nature Tourism
Ecotourism or nature tourism is a fast growing internationally popular venture in Sri Lanka. On a very high elevation above sea level in District of Matale on the hills of Riverton surrounded by the deep rainforest in a cold windy, misty serene environment covered with mist is “Above the Clouds” an Ecotourism holiday resort which is owned by the group. This holiday resort is situated in a unique location which is defined as a world heritage area in the Knuckles Mountain Range.
Pharmaceutical Business
Indenting, Supplies And Project Management
Our group is registered with many government departments to participate in government tenders and supplies of fresh and dry consumables and non-consumables. We participate in many types of foreign supply tenders in the government sector. We source these items from China, India, Europe etc.
Sanro is specialized in project consultancy due to a well-connected local and international network. We promote foreign investors to Sri Lanka. Interested foreign companies (government, semi-government and private) has the opportunity to invest in Sri Lankan projects and opportunities through Sanro who will provide liaising, consultancy, contacts, financial arrangements with local banks, approvals, follow up work, monitoring, staff deployments and supervision, and all duties of a local agent to cover all related areas for foreign investors to securely and successfully enter and complete investments and projects in Sri Lanka.
Ship Supplies
Sanro is a licensed ship supplier for all ports of Sri Lanka and a member of SLSSA and ISSA UK for international ship chandelling. We supply all quality stores items of ships except combat stores. Food and water, cleaning supplies, medical stores, bond stores items, Salon stores, Deck stores, Provision stores fresh and dry and safety equipment supplies. We are authorized to supply pharmaceuticals as we are a licensed Distributor and stockist of Pharmaceuticals having our own Pharmacists. We supply drinking mineral and PH water, provisions, fresh vegetables and fruits, nuts, Meat and Sea food, temperature controlled provisions (milk, Cheese, butter, , cream, curd), spices and essences, Cigarettes and bond stores
Processing and Exports
On exports, we do spices and local commodities. The spices can be supplied in any form as requested by the customer – Raw, processed, semi-processed and/or whole kernels, semi-crushed and powdered-bulk supplies, retail packs, private label packs as per customer requirement.
